So, I decided to stop, go ahead and post what I had, and start a new post with probably just the next day. Or however far I can get without it seeming too long.
If you want to read my ski trip posts in chronological order, you can either scroll down to my last post and start there, or click this link and it will take you my first ski trip post. After that you can come back to this one and, maybe, it will make more sense. I make no promises, though.
If you're still lost, this post will start on our first full day in Keystone, Tuesday Mar. 17.
How sad, that was over three weeks ago and I'm just blogging about it! I hope I can remember that far back. ;)
After a long 24 hours of, driving through the night, getting into Keystone, getting ski stuff, getting lost in Keystone, cramming five girls and their luggage into a Jeep, getting sick, and so much more, we finally hit the hay to get ready for our first full day and first day of skiing! I was so excited.
We had breakfast at about 8:30 each morning, so we never had to get up that early.
Every morning we walked down a little sidewalk to get from our condo-room-lodge-thing to our youth minister's condo-room-lodge-thing for breakfast. There was big open areas to both sides of the side walk that had snow built up (a couple feet!) above the the side walk.
I took this the first morning in Keystone, while walking down our little sidewalk for breakfast...

After breakfast, Katie, Rebekah and I headed back over to our place to get our skis and everything ready to go. Jenn and Kristen went back to the ski rental place with Jay to exchange their boots for bigger sizes...
We just hung out and took some pictures while we waited for them to get back.
Me and Katie, waiting out in front of our building, ready to hit the slopes!

Took some pictures of the trees while waiting on our steps. They were so tall!

Katie with all of her ski gear...
Once Kristen and Jennifer got back, we caught our bus and headed to the lifts. Pretty much everyone, (except for some of the guys snow boarding), started out at the bunny lifts, so I stayed there with everyone that was learning.
Some people caught on quicker than others. Kristen didn't do so well the first day, so she stopped after lunch, along with a lot of the girls that wanted to go shopping. (What's wrong with them? I payed to ski, I'm gonna ski! It was only the first day!)
Katie and Jennifer were both doing pretty well, so after a lunch break, Jay convinced them to go up half way and take a green down. I was excited to get up on the mountain, Jennifer and Katie were a bit nervous. Once we got off the lift, Jay got a call that someone got hurt, so he had to ski ahead, while the rest of us took it down slow. Luckily, a couple other adults on the trip had come up with us, so they showed us the way down. Jennifer was doing great! She got the hang of skiing really quickly and she was skiing at a pretty fast pace. She was almost as fast as me. But not quite. ;)
Katie, on the other hand, had some trouble and she ended up taking a while to get down. One of our adults stayed with her, while another adult went down with me, Jennifer and another senior guy.
Once Jennifer and I got down, we took a little break in the snow to rest our legs.
And took a few pictures, of course.

Me and Jennifer...
I Know I had this in picture in my first ski trip post, but it's one of my favorites from this day, so I'm posting it again. :)
Jennifer and I waited for about 30 minutes for the other adult and senior guy we were skiing with to get down, but they never came. We figured we missed them or they got off on a different trail after the last time we stopped on the mountain. Katie and the adult with her hadn't made it down either, but they were pretty far behind us. So, Jennifer and I decided to take the lift up half way again and take another run.
It was becoming obvious who was gonna be my ski buddy this week.
So we took another run down, much quicker than the last since we knew where we were going. Right as we were almost to the bottom, we saw Katie and Brian, (the adult that stayed that stayed with her), still on their first run. We were just glad we finally found them.
Once we were all down to the bottom it was almost four, so we decided to head back and rest a little before supper and group time.
When we got back that afternoon, Kristen tried to teach us how to play Rumikub. It didn't work out so well... we were all having a hard time staying focused. I don't even remember how to play, haha.
Kristen took a few pictures of this interesting game...
Me, I'm concentrating so hard. ha.
Katie, she's trying to figure it out.
Jennifer, not even pretending to enjoy it. haha.
Then we quit.
Then we went to dinner...
After dinner everybody just hung out until we had our group/devo time. Jay started it out by saying they've never really had many "tradition" type things they did on the senior ski trip, but he wanted to start one. So, he then said to think of our favorite funny moment and spiritual moment from our whole time in the youth group. We all took a turn sharing, it was a lot of fun, just hearing all these memories being relived. This went on for a long time.
Once group time was over we headed back to our room and hung out and talked for a little while, then we all went to bed. We were all pretty tired and a bit sore, but it was an awesome first day! We could already tell this trip was gonna go by fast.
I'm gonna stop now, but stay tuned, I'm working on posts for the rest of the week already! I should be finished with all this ski trip blogging nonsense before week's end!

I've never been skiing. It looks fun. I am a fan of Rumikub. We get bored and make speed rounds because all the thinking makes it last forever!
haha, yeah, I think we all would've enjoyed Rumikub more if we hadn't been so tired.
And I love skiing! You should try it sometime! I probably enjoy mostly because it's a "sport" that I'm actually pretty good at... That doesn't happen too often for me. ;)
